Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Shelley Peat Massage Therapy, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Treatment

Massage therapy is provided according to your individual needs, treatment goals and the information you provide during consultation.

Please let me know about any injuries, health conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent surgery or changes to your health that may affect your treatment. Treatment may be modified, postponed or declined where I believe massage is not appropriate or where further medical advice is advisable.

Massage therapy is complementary healthcare and is not a substitute for medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment.

Health Fund Rebates

Shelley Peat Massage Therapy does not offer private health fund rebates.

I have intentionally chosen not to participate in health fund claiming arrangements, and this is reflected in my pricing.

No health fund provider numbers or rebate receipts will be issued. Please consider this when booking your appointment.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless otherwise arranged.

Prices displayed at the time of booking are the applicable treatment prices and may be updated from time to time.

Appointments

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, your treatment may need to finish at the originally scheduled time so that the following client’s appointment is not affected.

Your comfort and consent matter throughout treatment. You are welcome to ask for pressure, positioning or treatment techniques to be changed or stopped at any time.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that life sometimes changes unexpectedly. If you need to move or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full appointment fee.

The full fee may also apply if you do not attend your appointment.

This policy protects the treatment time reserved especially for you and allows me a reasonable opportunity to offer the appointment to someone else.

If exceptional circumstances arise, please contact me directly.

Client Consent

Before your first treatment, you’ll be asked to provide some information about your health, treatment history and what has brought you in.

By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge that:

  • you have provided relevant and accurate information about your health;

  • massage therapy does not replace medical care or diagnosis;

  • you will tell me if anything feels uncomfortable or if you would like the treatment changed or stopped;

  • treatment techniques and pressure will be discussed and adapted to your needs; and

  • you may withdraw your consent to any part of the treatment at any time.

Your body. Your treatment. Your choice.
